I Loves You, Porgy was originally written by George Gershwin as part of the opera "Porgy and Bess". The tune describes love of two characters from different worlds, who still find each other. Considered one of the most significant pieces in musical and operatic history, Nina Simone released her own version of the tune in 1959. It was this tune that was played at one of Arvind's Jazz Concerts, and quickly became a tune hummed by both Elizabeth and Arvind, while studying in the library, long car rides, moments apart, and together.
